La Palme is a delightful little Mediterranean town
nesling in the shelter of the foothills bordering the Corbières coast, where Fitou, the oldest Languedoc-Roussillon AOC wine, is produced. Nearby, 9km of sandy beach delight summer visitors, Fishing, Canoeing, Bathing and Sailboarding can be enjoyed ont the inland pool. From the banks of the salt-water lake, heavy with the scent of the garrigue, the views are magical. The village has preserved its ancient doors and ramparts, a Romanesque chapel and a 13th century church.
